What is a Chamber of Commerce?

A chamber of commerce operates as a private business organization that serves as a vehicle through which the business & professional community are organized to work together to define & solve community & economic development issues as well as network and support each other. No one group or individual could do all that chambers of commerce do. We’re proud of how the Chamber’s mission and community partnerships enhance opportunities for business and quality of life for everyone. Get to know us and we’ll show you how...

Accreditation

In November 2013 the Chamber received its first prestigious 4-star accreditation. This impressive honor puts the Delaware Area Chamber of Commerce among the top 3% of chambers nationwide. It also puts the Chamber among only three other accredited Chambers in the state of Ohio. The determination is made by the Accrediting Board, a committee of U.S. Chamber board members and Chamber executives from across the country who recognize chambers for their effective organizational procedures and community involvement. Accreditation allows chambers to renew, improve, and promote sound business practices, policies, and procedures.
